Overview
Laser tattoo removal uses a Q-switched laser that delivers extremely short, high-energy pulses. These shatter the tattoo ink into microscopic particles which are then cleared by the body's immune system. The number of sessions depends on ink colour, density, depth, tattoo age and your skin type — black and dark blue ink respond fastest, while green, yellow and light blue take longer.
