About Prof Dr. Debabrata Mukherjee

Prof. Dr. Debabrata Mukherjee, an esteemed Nephrologist and transplant physician, has dedicated his career to advancing nephrology and renal transplantation in India. Born on February 7, 1969, in Pune, Maharashtra, Dr. Mukherjee pursued his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, followed by a DM in Nephrology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. His commitment to education is evident through his role as a faculty member and examiner for DM and DNB Nephrology, as well as MD and DNB Medicine, shaping the next generation of medical professionals.

Dr. Mukherjee has held numerous prestigious positions, including Senior Director and Professor at BLK-MAX Superspeciality Hospital, Delhi, and MAX Hospital, Gurugram. His previous roles include Chairman and Head of the Department of Renal Sciences at Batra Hospital, Delhi, and various leadership positions within the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services. His military service includes significant contributions to nephrology and transplant medicine, reflecting his extensive expertise and dedication to patient care and medical education.
