Dr. Ashok Kumar Modi is a highly experienced Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist with over 27 years of dedicated experience in the field of pediatrics. He served for 25 years as Consultant and Senior Consultant in pediatrics in NTPC. Having superannuated as a General Manager (Pediatrician/Medical), Dr. Modi has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing compassionate care and expertise to children and their families throughout his career. He completed his MBBS with Honors and MD in Pediatrics from Patna Medical College & Hospital.
Dr. Modi’s extensive work experience includes serving as the Chief Medical Officer cum Senior Consultant Pediatrics at NTPC Project Hospital, Nabi Nagar, Bihar, where he managed clinical operations and the Pediatric department, overseeing budgeting, staffing, and medical record management. He provided comprehensive care to pediatric patients, leading a team of specialists and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Modi played a pivotal role in developing NTPC Project Hospital, Nabinagar, from inception to a fully functional facility.
His previous roles include serving as a Senior Consultant Pediatrics at NTPC Project Hospital, Solapur, Maharashtra, and NTPC Project Hospital, Rihand Nagar, UP, where he provided primary care, conducted well-child check-ups, immunizations, and educated parents on child health and nutrition. Dr. Modi’s skills encompass comprehensive knowledge of pediatric medicine, including expertise in malaria, poisoning, and snake bites. He possesses strong diagnostic and treatment skills, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
